About Us

Max has more than 27 years of experience as a portfolio manager and a research analyst. He focuses on managing equity, fixed income and alternative investment strategies for portfolios of high net worth individuals and institutional clients. Prior to starting Miramar, Max was a Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS.

Max received his B.A. in international studies from the University of South Florida and his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Miami. Max is an Illinois Registered Investment Advisor Representative (RIA).

Bob brings 30 years of experience, most recently as founder of Kalman Kushnir Capital Inc, which he began in 1994 as a Principal and Portfolio Manager.

Bob has spoken at national conferences on wealth management and market analysis. Bob graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He later received his MBA degree from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Economics.

Chris brings more than 35 years of experience to Miramar Capital, most recently with Premier Asset Management. As a Portfolio Manager, he advised high net-worth individuals, families, and charitable foundations. Chris brings a wealth of knowledge in handling complex financial situations from institutions such as American National Bank, U.S. Trust, and The Harris Bank.

Chris received a B.S. degree (cum laude) in Economics from Regis College, and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado. He was also a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Indiana University.

Chris is an avid traveler and resides with his wife, in Wilmette, IL.

Beth brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently with a money center bank. She has extensive experience in serving the high net worth investor, as well as in sales and trading. Beth is a native Chicagoan, and has a B.A. in Finance from Barat College in Lake Forest, IL.

As Marketing/Client Associate, Talia supports the development and execution of a wide array of marketing and communications initiatives, as well as providing client support. Prior to joining Miramar Capital, Talia served as an Associate at a boutique strategic communications firm serving clients across the spectrum of financial services. Previously, she interned at multiple news outlets including CNBC.

Talia received a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Economics from Northwestern University, with certificates in Managerial Analytics and Integrated Marketing Communications.

Deb has over 12 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Her work background is varied and full, from her career as an attorney, to manager of a library, to substitute teaching, and working in numerous office settings.

Deb is passionate about assisting others, possesses a positive, service attitude, and maintains a strong work ethic. She is excited to bring that experience and background to her role here, at Miramar Capital.

Deb holds a B.A. in Political Science from DePaul University and a J.D. from DePaul University-College of Law.
